Before founding Akron, José set out to investigate how the brain learns: studying educational psychology at Harvard, learning and memory at Cambridge, and behavioral economics at FIA. Over fifteen years leading six schools in Brazil and one in the United States, he saw firsthand that good intentions are not enough: excellent education is built on evidence. This is the foundation behind Akron: every pedagogical choice is grounded in science, so that each student learns the way their brain actually works.

Carol was part of the founding team at Avenues São Paulo, where she led pedagogical innovation initiatives for eight years. Opening a benchmark school is something she has already done in practice and that is exactly the experience she brings to Akron. With over twenty years dedicated to education and training from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, the Buck Institute for Education, and PUC-SP, she built her career creating school communities where every student is truly seen and learning has purpose.

Pedro Paulo built his career at renowned institutions, including St. Paul's School and Saint Francis College. Combining international excellence with the Brazilian curriculum is something he has already done and that is exactly the experience he brings to Akron. With over thirty years dedicated to education, he ensures that Brazilian academics advance at the same level as global education: your child doesn't choose between two worlds, they have both at the highest standard.

Ana Paula spent ten years at Beacon School, leading various operational fronts with the perspective of someone who sees infrastructure as an active educator. Transforming environments into learning spaces is something she has already done and that is exactly the experience she brings to Akron. Now, she is the one preparing the 11,000 square meter Pinheiros campus to welcome every family: every single detail, from the main gate to the classroom, is designed so that the school's vision is present in all we do.

Anna Luiza built her career connecting education, entrepreneurship, and social impact projects. She worked at benchmark institutions such as The British School of Rio de Janeiro and Global Me, where she served both in teaching and in Admissions. She also dedicated years to working with an educational NGO, reinforcing her connection to purpose and the transformative power of learning. At Akron, she leads Admissions and the family journey, with the mission of building genuine relationships between the school, students, and families.
